With the holidays fast approaching you might consider volunteering for your employer’s or organization’s holiday party/dinner planning committee. Then try to steer the party location to one of the many Quincy restaurants who are merchant members of the Gene Grawe Fund. Verify that the restaurant will accept their own gift cards in payment for a large party or dinner. Some may not. We heard one of our members recently paid a class reunion’s $600 dinner bill with Sprout’s gift cards earning $60 for the GGF.
Finally, the date and restaurant location for large holiday gatherings are usually set a year in advance. So if you can’t get it done this year then start working now for next year’s party. Large holiday parties and dinners would seem to be a virtually unrealized source of revenue for the Gene Grawe Fund.
