If you have a smartphone and you use Hy-Vee gift cards, then make sure you install Hy-Vee’s newest app for both iPhones and Android phones. It can scan the barcode on your gift cards and add them to the app.  Then you can use the app to view the remaining balances on all your Hy-Vee gift cards. When a card’s balance drops to zero, is automatically removed from the app.  Very cool!
